ABSTRACT: The main responsible government agency for moto vehicle type approval in Iran is the Institute of Standards & Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI). ISIRI is the Iranian National Organization for Standardization, which is responsible for formulating and implementing regulations on motor vehicles, food and agricultural products, chemical and polymer, mechanics and metrology and quality management, et. According to the ISIRI vehicle regulations, local manufactured or imported vehicles must obtain the Type of Approval Certificate before entering into market.
