Brief: On February 15, 2017, INMETRO (The National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality) issued a mandatory certification for road lamps, No. 20/2017. The mandatory certification scope includes gas discharge light source street lamps and LED light source street lamps.
 
The above two types of street lights that have not received the INMETRO certificate after 18 months of publication (August 15, 2018) will not be able to enter Brazil. After 24 months of release (February 15, 2019), sales will not be banned in the Brazilian market. A street lamp product.
 
ATIC is the authorized branch of the Brazilian certification body CATA in China. The auditor has direct authorization to implement the domestic auditor's audit and domestic testing for the manufacturer, which can help the street lamp manufacturer to enter the Brazilian market smoothly. The INMETRO certification process for street lamps includes importer audits, factory system audits and product sampling tests. The tests include safety and energy efficiency.
 
In addition, if the LED street light is solar powered, its solar module must be certified according to Regulation No. 004/2011 for energy efficiency labeling.
