BRAZILIAN NEW REGULATION OF FRICTION MATERIAL IS COMING INTO FORCE IN JANUARY 2016

REGULATION COME INTO FORCE

Friction material: Brazil new regulation 55 is coming into force in January 2016:

INMETRO regulation 55, issued on January 28, 2014, determined that twenty-four (24) months from the issuing date of this Regulation, all friction materials intended for brakes of automotive road vehicles shall be manufactured and imported only in compliance with the Requirements herein, and properly registered at INMETRO. Six (6) months after the deadline established at the header, all friction materials intended for brakes of automotive road vehicles shall be traded by manufacturers and importers, in the national market, only in compliance with the Requirements herein and properly registered at INMETRO.
