The United States Department of Transportation, abbreviated DOT, is headquartered in Washington. As the functional department of the US government, the US Department of Transportation develops and improves transportation and transportation-related regulations to meet environmental and national defense needs. The Department of Transportation is also a basic department of the federal government, responsible for formulation and management to protect and improve the safety, appropriateness and effectiveness of transportation system. According to the regulations of the US Department of Transportation, where vehicles and critical components are exported to the US market, they must pass DOT certification and mark the corresponding DOT mark on the product. The product has passed the DOT certification and is marked with the corresponding mark, indicating that the product meets the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) and has passed the corresponding test or manufacturer's statement.

The North American Parts Compliance Program (ECP) promoted by AMECA (The Automotive Manufacturers Equipment Compliance Agency, Inc.) is a centralized, voluntary, one-stop process. It is a procedure for informing the government, industry and the general public that motor vehicle safety components have been tested in AMECA authorized laboratories and that they meet relevant standards. Products with an AMECA certificate will be more easily procured by North American buyers and users. AMECA provides product testing related services by authorizing third-party laboratories. Only test reports issued by AEMCA authorized laboratories will be approved by AMECA.

Helmet SNELL Certification

Since its inception in 1957, the Snell Foundation has independently tested the manufacturer's helmets. Its first helmet protection standard was released for motor racing in 1959. Subsequently, motorcycles, equestrian sports, bicycles, roller skates and skateboards, snowboarding and skiing, and other specific helmet standards for karting were also released. These standards relate to performance, not to specific materials or designs. The Foundation regularly uses specially designed test equipment to upgrade its helmet performance specifications to keep up with advances in materials, helmet technology and design.

Korean product safety KC certification is a compulsory certification implemented by the Korean state. It is supervised by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea which formulates related laws, enforcement decrees and rules on product safety. According to the Korean Electrical Appliances and Consumer Goods Safety Management Act, and the Korean Special Children's Products Safety Management Act, the certification scope includes three categories: electrical appliances, household products and children's products. Among them, there are 442 of electrical appliances that require compulsory certification, 66 of household products, and 36 of children's products. For these nearly 600 kinds of products within compulsory safety certification scope, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has stipulated different procedures of certification according to their safety levels, includes: safety certification, safety inspection and supplier’s declaration of conformity. Products within the compulsory certification scope must conduct KC certification and bear the KC mark on their products before entering the South Korean market.
