RELEASE DATE:2016-04-05 01:31
Under pressure from various parties, the Algerian government has once again adjusted its new car import policy and lowered the safety allocation standards for imported new cars.
The new policy removes mandatory configuration requirements for the Body Stabilization System (ESP) and reduces the number of airbags from four to two. In addition, the new policy stipulates that vehicles that have been affected by the new policy and are still stranded in Hong Kong will not be affected by the new vehicles that have issued letters of credit at local banks before April 15, 2015.
